followfood tuna: back to the roots

followfood stands for transparency like no other brand in the food industry. With the invention of their tracking code, they were the first to let customers trace exactly where their food comes from and how it was produced. Now, followfood is taking transparency to the next level – turning it into a tangible, emotional experience. We set out to meet the people behind their products, capturing their stories through film and photography. At Laamu atoll in the Maldives we met the fishermen who catch the tuna by hand. This is not only the traditional method that has been used on the Maldives for hundreds of years but also the most sustainable future since there is absolutely no bycatch.
